a recipe for inspiration

28 September 2010 – A team of Norway’s most acclaimed chefs and celebrities faced off today for high honors in a contest with world-famous King Oscar brisling sardines.

We’ve all heard that sardines are nutritious. And that sardines make a convenient snack. But did anyone know that sardines might be part of a gourmet masterpiece?

Combining superior ingredients and a passion for great food, the competitors met at Oslo’s Tjuvholmen Sjømagasin to create unique and tasty recipes. The only rules of the game were KO sardines, a three-course meal, and some out of the can thinking. The event was judged by celebrated chef Eyvind Hellstrøm, members of the Culinary Academy, and nutritional physiologist Kari Bugge from Grete Roede AS.

The results were as beautiful as they were delicious…a generous serving of inspiration for all of us.
